Our Charming History

Built in 1935 by T.J Ashton, it operated as one of the small Cottage Hospitals with the Matron's House next door and the Doctor living on the other corner. The Haven was a 13 bed small hospital, with State of the Art Bell System, Hot Water and Soundproofing.

It stopped operating as a hospital in 1944, due to staff being recalled by the Army and the opening of Leeton District Hospital.
Becoming a Boarding House for Professionals before eventually falling into disuse in the 1980s, the building was set to be demolished when Mark and Robyn decided to make it the family home in 1997.

But....

Slowly and with lots of love and care the building has been restored back to its Art Deco glory ready to welcome guests once more.
